SCHOOLS
Maasai children cannot walk the long and dangerous journey to centralized schools. Our schools are built by the local comunity using traditional buildign practices. Our schools are located throught remoto maasai villages so that children can access basic education safely from home without breaking from their culture.
Maasai villages have many miles between them. Our small schools are built by the community with traditional construction practices and local materials to minimize building costs. Most funding goes to teaching supplies and teacher pay. Each small school is attended by 30 to 50 children from the nearest surrounding Bomas, reducing the distances that small children must walk.
A small donation of $30 provides a uniform, shoes and books for one child. A larger donation of $360 pays for one teacher’s salary for one year. A major donation of $4,000 builds your own school in a community that currently has no access to education.
